In Review is a new segment I'm going to do from time to time when I see a movie. It might not be a new movie and in theatres, but I'll try and give my best review possible.

I figured I should start this off with a blockbuster of a movie...literally...it busted city blocks. Thankfully that was in New York and not around here; The Avengers.

The Avengers had a RIDICULOUS amount of hype surrounding it in the week leading up to its North American release, thanks in large part to the release of the film a week earlier overseas. That can be a very dangerous thing however. Heightened hype can often lead to expecting too much going into the theatre, leaving the final product disappointing. That wasn't the case with Avengers.

Ok, so the Avengers are FINALLY HERE!!! I'm SO excited it's not even funny. I'm going to see the movie tomorrow (Saturday) and am expecting BIG things.

Now, usually going into a movie with VERY high expectations leads to disappointment. But from what I've read online in reviews and fan reaction thus far (since it's been out for a week outside of North America), it lives up to all the hype and then some. Even the big comic book geeks are liking it...which is a sure way to know they did the Avengers justice; if comic book fans disliked it, they'd say so with fury.

But I mean, how can you see this trailer and NOT be incredible excited?
