Album Review

Secret Policeman's Other Ball: The Music delivers performances from 1982's second Secret Policeman's concert, which benefited Amnesty International and featured Phil Collins, Jeff Beck, Bob Geldof, and Sting among its headliners. Sting's "Roxanne," Beck's "Crossroads," and Geldof's "I Don't Like Mondays" are among the album's highlights, along with Collins' "In the Air Tonight." In an era when rock seemed to lose some of its political idealism, the Secret Policeman concerts kept that spirit alive with earnest performances for a good cause, and The Secret Policeman's Other Ball is no exception.
