Kirk Davidson

Kirk DavidsonWhere to start? Well, first off Kirk is from the town of Truro, Nova Scotia. When he was about six years old, he use to listen to his local radio station and impersonate the announcers. Always having a love for music, and a musician himself, he thought he would venture to the largest city in Canada, Toronto... to pursue his dream. He attended the Humber Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning where he officially got a paper that said he could talk for a living (and he doesn't do it a lot, he swears!).

The radio industry has led Kirk all across this lovely country of ours... twice! He has lived in the east coast, west coast, and central Canada. Kirk spent eight months working at CJEG in Bonnyville, Alberta where he grew as an announcer in the afternoon position. He was promoted to morning show and music director on CILB, a station about an hour away from Bonnyville, in Lac La Biche, Alberta.

The opportunity arose to become part of the team here in Grand Falls, and when Kirk got the call about the morning show, he packed his bags and said "see you in two weeks!". He is really enjoying his stay and is looking forward to finding out what Grand Falls is all about!

When he was a small lad, he was a bit of a shy one. But once he ventured into the world of radio he quickly realized this is what his ultimate passion was! Never did he once think that he could wake up each morning and say to himself "man I LOVE my job" (especially since he wakes up at 4am every weekday!!).

In his spare time, you can catch Kirk playing the guitar. Loving the back beats of music, he enjoys writing his own. It's not just the guitar though, he adores every instrument. Rock music is his ultimate passion, but you can hear him listening to any genre.

All Kirk wants to do is liven up your day and get you to work with a smile and hopefully on time! Give him a call and tell him what's going on, or just sit back and chill to the music and enjoy the entertainment!

As Neil Young would say, "Keep On Rockin' In The Free World!".
