The village of Saint-André is gearing up for a big event Monday, August 6.

They have been chosen to host the official New Brunswick Day celebrations.

Mayor Allain Desjardins says it is the first time the community has held the event.

He says a lot of work has gone into planning the event.

He says there will be something for everyone - little kids to big kids.
