Story by Paul Bradley
More court appearances are coming for a man who has already been ordered to pay an 88-thousand dollar fine.
37-year-old Leo Peter Paul was issued the fine on Tuesday, July 31, in Grand Falls Provincial Court after being found guilty of possession of illegal cigarettes.
The RCMP say the Indian Brook, Nova Scotia resident was arrested in July 2009 on the Trans-Canada Highway in Perth-Andover.
They say about 270-thousand illegal cigarettes were seized.
Meanwhile, Paul awaits a trail in connection to a traffic stop near Woodstock where police seized 85-thousand illegal cigarettes last month.
The accused has pleaded not guilty to charges related to that seizure.
