A Perth-Andover business has been fined $1,000 for purchasing beer out of province.

During a routine inspection, inspectors found beer at the 878 Waterfront Bistro and Café that was purchased in Quebec.

According to the Liquor Control Act, it is illegal for a licensed liquor establishment to have liquor on site that has not been purchased in New Brunswick.

The establishment paid the fine earlier this month.
